Dear Friend,

The holiday season is a time for making new family memories while fondly recalling celebrations of holidays past with loved ones we have since lost.

Your family, like mine, probably has holiday traditions that go back many years and give today's generation a meaningful connection to parents, grandparents and other relatives who are no longer with us.

That's why we are inviting you to honor your loved ones by participating in Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island's Holiday Memories Celebration.

We are collecting snowflake cards from kind supporters like you throughout our community. Each card will be displayed in our lobby at 1085 Main Street, Providence, or 143 Main Street, Wakefield. And all will bear the names of family and friends who are near and dear to the hearts of our supporters. Some have passed away, never to be forgotten. Others are still a part of our supporters' lives. All have a special place in our hearts.

You can include your loved ones in this cherished tradition by completing this snowflake card. Just print the name(s) of the person(s) you want to honor, adding personal thoughts if you like.

Please also include a donation to help care for patients and families in need of hospice during the holidays. Whether you can build on your record of support with a tax-deductible gift of any amount, please respond today to help bring comfort to neighbors in our community at a time they need it most.

It is important for you to reply quickly because the upcoming holidays will be a particularly difficult time for families coping with serious illness and loss. They will need compassionate and comprehensive care ... specialized counseling for caregivers ... and 24/7 access to support and bereavement services.

Your generosity touches lives every day. You give local families the comforting reassurance that they are not walking their difficult paths alone.

One neighbor recently wrote us to describe how much your support of Hope Hospice meant to her and her husband in his final days:

"The comfort, support and thoughtfulness of absolutely everyone who came to care for Don is beyond description. Thanks to all the staff and donors! You make more difference in the lives of people more than you will ever know. " -- Patricia T. Rumford

I join Patricia, along with all of our staff, in thanking you for supporting Hope Hospice again this year. On behalf of all the families who will be helped by your next contribution, I offer you heartfelt gratitude and best wishes for a joyful holiday season.

Please take a moment today to share the name(s) you would like included on your Holiday Memories Celebration snowflake card. As always, thank you for being a part of the Hope Hospice family, and for taking part in this special holiday tradition!

With gratitude,

Diana Franchitto
President & CEO

P.S. Our Holiday Memories Celebration tradition will be all the more meaningful when you include your loved ones in it. To make sure you don't miss out, please add the name(s) of those you want to honor to the snowflake card. And to help local families coping with serious illness and loss, please include your holiday gift to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island with the card. Thank you!
