Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island Offers Support During the Upcoming Holidays

Every month Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island’s Center for Grief & Healing offers seminars on a different topic that may be of interest to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. In anticipation that the holidays may present a difficult time for individuals grieving the loss of a loved one, the Center for Grief & Healing is holding a workshop titled, “Coping with Loss During the Holidays.” The workshop will be held at HHPCRI’s main office located at 1085 North Main Street in Providence on December 15.

“It can be very difficult to be grieving when the rest of the world is giving thanks and being joyful,” says Morgan Ban-Draoi, HHPCRI Grief Counselor. “Many holiday traditions can seem hollow after the loss of a loved one, and yet, it is still important to share these times with supportive family and friends.”

According to Ban-Draoi, the workshop will explore ways to cope with the holidays that honor family traditions and support those who are grieving the loss of a loved one.
