Mary MacIntosh Named New Chief Financial Officer at Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, the largest hospice in the state and a leader in hospice and palliative care for more than three decades, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mary MacIntosh, MBA, CMA, as the new Chief Financial Officer. A senior executive with more than 20 years experience in health care, MacIntosh will oversee all fiscal services, including the accounting departments, budget preparation, financial reports, and tax and audit functions.

Before joining Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, MacIntosh was owner and principal at VectorHMG Inc., a consulting firm for health systems, academic medical centers, community hospitals, specialty care providers, physician practices and other health care organizations. Her executive experience prior to Vector includes seven years as Senior Vice President and System Chief Financial Officer at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket, and six years as director of strategic planning at Lifespan. Both organizations comprise multiple facilities that include community and tertiary care hospitals. She began her career as a planning analyst at The Miriam Hospital and was director of strategic planning there when Lifespan acquired the hospital and named her Director of Strategic Planning

MacIntosh is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development. She holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Bryant University, Smithfield, and a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Rhode Island College. She also is a certified management accountant by the Institute of Management Accountants and is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society.

She resides in East Greenwich with her husband, Stephen and their two hildren, Cameron and Duncan.
