Pawtucket Residents Offered
Free Support Group

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Pawtucket area residents who are young widows or widowers, ages 55 and younger, who are grieving from the loss of a loved one can take advantage of a free bereavement support group offered by Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, the largest and most comprehensive hospice in the state.

Deanna Upchurch, Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island bereavement coordinator who will facilitate the group, says grief at the loss of a loved one is natural. “An important part of dealing with that grief is having people around you who will listen to you and support you as you grieve. This bereavement support group offers just such an environment,” she says.

The Young Widows/Widowers Bereavement Support Group takes place 6-7:30 p.m., Thursdays, beginning June 19 and running through July 31, at Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 169 George St., Pawtucket.

Anyone who would like more information, or who would like to attend the group, may call Upchurch at 401-312-2363.
