White Named Home & Hospice Care of
Rhode Island Director of
Quality & Performance Improvement

Virginia White, BSN, MPHPROVIDENCE, R.I. – Virginia White, BSN, MPH, of Barrington, has been named director of Quality & Performance Improvement at Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island (www.HHPCRI.org), the state’s leader in hospice and palliative care since 1976.

In her new role, White will be responsible for Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island’s compliance, quality improvement and performance programs, effectively ensuring the organization embraces innovative and advanced quality initiatives. She comes to Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island from Hospice & Community Care, Rock Hill, S.C., which serves six counties, where she has been organizational research director since 2005. She previously served the organization as director of Community and Family Services and admissions and children’s bereavement coordinator.

With nearly 20 years experience in nursing and family and hospice services, White also has worked at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, N.Y., UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, Calif., Kaiser Permanente Health Plan, Hartford, Conn., and Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, S.C.

A Connecticut native, White received her master’s in public health from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and her bachelor’s in nursing from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury.
